GG Game dr. light, anyway i just give up, because i played very slow and i think i will maybe lost with nearly 100%....i hope i have more time tiime in september (maybe own office).
I've been trying to play sorcerer for a while now and I don't think I have succeeded to play it decently... In this game, almost all the time I was mana starved, some of the times I couldn't even summon because I was lacking mana... I also had a rough start, losing my heroes. I was frostling Sorc and Marky was Draconian so our territories were the opposite, frost vs volcanic, that was interesting because my units were not happy to be in his territories and I was very hesitant to attack him.
During the whole game I never saw the underground, I'm not sure if Marky did, I just didn't have an entrance nearby my territory, so I was confident that he couldn't attack me or flank me as I tried to be aware of all possible entrances to my territory. In the middle there was an archon dwelling that I had for the first half of the game, it gave me some priests that were useful until Marky took it and I didn't have the army to claim it back.
Around half game, I had some floating apprentices and phantom soldiers and approached him with my leader, at this point, my leader didn't have the floating ability, but I had seafaring. Marky's main was too close from the water, so I decided to flank him, I saw his army and I was sure that I couldn't take him, so, I attacked him with my leader stack and a headless stack, took his main and ran away. At the same time I had another party and took some units from a tavern and attacked a vassal draconian city that he had in the middle of the map. Marky gave priority to reclaim his main and lost that vassal that I was able to raze, during this game of hit and run, Marky sent his only 2 tier 3 units and flying that he had, to reclaim a tower that was in his territory and that I used to know where his army was, so I killed them, I was able to retreat most of my army in his main except my leader (I moved him badly and ran out of MP). At this point I had to run for my life, because I had no leader and my other hero's army was not that strong, without my leader and all my summons I was running out of mana very fast, I had to generate mana in my cities to avoid my summons from disappearing, these were stressful moments... I left some units in the archon dwelling and moved everything else back to my territory.
Once my leader reappeared I was glad that I still had mana... but it was still level 5 or 6 and my theo hero was like 8... Marky had all his heroes and leader above lvl 8 at this point, so I was worried about leveling my leader, so worried that I got it killed again... I still had some unexplored mana nodes and other things to get some mana, so I somehow managed to last another 3 turns without my leader and losing my summons....
Once again, my leader reappeared and I started to play more defensively, to get more mana and some structures and expand with new settlements, I was able to level my leader up and make it a floater this time... while I summoned node serpents and air elementals for my theo hero... But while doing this, Marky took the archon dwelling and I was too far from it to take it back, also his army was more powerful than mine... I was really worried and I decided that the best defense in this case was the attack, so I took my floating stack and flanked his main exactly as I did in mid game, took my theo and flanked from the other side to that vassal that he had rebuilt and was now his city...
Marky now had some exalteds and an evangelist, I still wasn't sure I could take his army, so I was just harassing him to affect his economy and prevent an attack that I don't think I could've handled. Tbh I was a little surprised that he surrendered, I think I had the upper hand the past few turns, but he still had a good army.
I think I was very annoying to Marky with my floating units and I had a very good scouting in this game which allowed me to prevent an attack to my territory. This was a very close game and I really had to think a lot to anticipate Marky's movements.
Bestätigt durch MARKYMARK
